We're built around three foundational pillars: regenerative farming that reconnects us with the origins of our food; greenhouse-integrated living spaces that allow year-round growing while reducing utility costs; and multi-generational housing designed to bring young and old together in daily life.
Our values-centered community approach creates spaces where authentic relationships flourish, encouraging residents to downsize their personal space while expanding their relational connections.

Our Story
The seed for Kehila was planted in Minka Boyd's heart during a transformative trip to Northern Ireland. There, among the rolling green hills and cozy villages, she discovered something precious that had become rare back home... genuine community. She was moved by families who shared not just afternoon tea, but their entire lives together. Grandparents taught grandchildren traditional skills while young parents supported their aging relatives.
Neighbors weren't just people who lived nearby; they were extended family who celebrated, mourned, and weathered life's storms together.
This experience stirred something deep within Minka. Despite her success building development companies and the whirlwind pace of her professional life, she felt a growing emptiness that no amount of achievement could fill. In a moment of clarity and courage, she made a decision that would change everything, she sold all she had to pursue a different kind of wealth: the richness of authentic human connection.
Kehila (meaning "community" in Hebrew) represents Minka's heart and soul poured into the land. It's more than a development; it's her legacy and her vision for a way of living that honors our fundamental need for one another.
Through thoughtfully designed spaces that bring us together instead of keeping us apart, Kehila invites us to rediscover what we've lost in our rush toward independence.
